World-class chamber music
Thursday, September 21, 2017 - 7:30 PM
High Point Theatre
Now in its 17th season, Pan Harmonia has been nationally recognized for its unique work and superb artistry. Its visionary and creative programming has garnered support from the North Carolina Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Ensembles differ with each project. Unique tailor-made experiences can be created for any audience. Our repertoire encompasses world music diversity from the Baroque period to the 21st century. Programs may include woodwinds, brass, strings, guitar, harp, piano, voice and percussion.
We welcome collaborations with other artists, including painters, dancers and storytellers, and we enjoy partnering with a wide array of community groups. Our performances and residencies may span a single day or multiple weeks for a wide spectrum of participants from elementary to college-age students, seniors and families to government organizations and corporations.
Past Community Projects include:
-The first chamber music group invited to tour with the NC Arts Council’s cARTwheels program
Pan Harmonia created Fandango, Tango, Huapango, which brought the vibrancy of Latin music, art and dance to more than ten thousand children across our state. 2008-2010
–GrooveNGuitars, an after-school program supported by a NCAC Arts-in Education grant, to bring in-depth music and guitar instruction to underserved kids in Rutherford County. 2010-2013
-Support from The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation to create a woodwind quintet mentoring program at AC Reynolds High School, 2014-2016
We are passionate sharing about our music with audiences of all ages!
